WHAT IS IELTS

IELTS is the world’s most popular high-stakes English language test. It is the test that opens doors to a world of academic and professional opportunity in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the UK, the US and many other places around the world where English is the language in the workplace or the classroom.

It is the test for study − thousands of the world’s most reputable universities and colleges will accept your IELTS results as evidence of your English language proficiency.

IELTS: Academic or General Training

There are two IELTS exam versions: Academic and General Training. Academic: for people applying for higher education or professional registration.  General Training: for those migrating to Australia, Canada and the UK, or applying for secondary education, training programmes and work experience in an English-speaking environment.

Both versions provide a valid and accurate assessment of the four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking.
